Where it all began.
In 1979 Bob Bovee, started up Hidden Lake Outfitters. Based out of the Madison and Absoraka-Beartooth ranges, he led many successful hunts. After years of hard work, he sold it to a young man named Mike Lovely. Mike’s father, Don, is an avid huntsmen who taught Mike the ins and outs so well that he was able to start guiding at age 16, and purchase the business from Bob by 20. Upon starting what would be known as Rollin’ Boulder Outfitters, Mike met Bob’s stepdaughter. Mona comes from a German background; her grandmother loved to fish, and her grandfather & great grandfather were the huntsmen for a baron near Baden-Baden, Germany. Mona, being a hardworking, intelligent lady, made it an easy decision for Mike to get down on one knee.
….Then came Madeline, Maria, and Jack.
